Magical Memories in Lapland
Seeing the snow scene of Lapland as we descended is when our excitement began, it was like a perfect picture postcard.
Once we were dressed in our thermal suits and boots our fun day began with the gorgeous husky dogs taking us on a fun filled fast ride through the snow. We then experienced a gentle peaceful journey through the beautiful snow capped forest pulled along by Santa's faithful reindeer. Lunch was included in the restaurant where a selection of hot food was provided.
Snow mobiles were available to drive providing you brought your driving licence, or you could relax on a sleigh with warm blankets and be pulled by one. The most exciting moment was still to come, the elves took us through a candle lit pathway to Santa's House, we gently knocked on the door to be greeted by a friendly elf who welcomed us into Santa's home. Conversation was flowing and lots of photo's were taken, my daughter was very excited to receive a gift and a big cuddle from Santa.
Lots of free time was included where we had snowball fights, made snow angels, toasted marshmallows on an open fire and went sledging. My daughters face throughout the whole day expressed how she felt, in her words "The Best Day Of My Life". We were very lucky on the flight home to see the Northern Lights which was a perfect ending to our magical day.
